AnDrea’s current teaching focus includes a faculty position at Elmhurst University, as well as her private voice studio, incorporating students from St. Charles North HS, St. Charles East HS, Geneva HS, and others.
She is passionate about meeting students where they are and helping them excel personally, musically, and professionally. She uses her extensive experience and proficiency in various genres – classical, musical theater, pop, rock, and more – to tailor her teaching to specific needs, goals, and developmental stages. Her emphasis on proper technique through the well-regarded Estill method ensures healthy, excellent, and versatile singing.
AnDrea has been teaching for over two decades and has worked with over 1,000 students of all ages and abilities. Her students frequently enjoy lead roles in school musicals, and many go on to musical careers after receiving voice scholarships to such schools as Indiana University, University of Illinois, Roosevelt University, Augustana College, Point Park University, Shenandoah University, and Belmont University. Other students have become professional artists in LA, where record deals have brought them millions of Spotify streams and international tours.
While each student is unique, what is guaranteed is that every one will be supported in their journey of growth with their own voice. For many, the true value of this investment will be a healthy voice that affords them the life-long joy of singing. AnDrea strongly believes that all people have the ability to sing and grow as a musician through studying the voice, and that making music remains one of the most powerful and positive human experiences possible. Singing, whether solo or as part of an ensemble, teaches core values such as cooperation, empathy, and curiosity. It also empowers students with skills like discipline, self-confidence, and creativity that translate across many personal and professional settings. In short, students quickly find that developing their voice truly means growing into the best version of themselves.
AnDrea is herself a professional singer with innumerable experiences here and abroad. She spent a year studying German and singing professionally in the Südostbayerisches Oper in Passau, Germany. She has recorded new jazz and pop tunes for local composers, sung in rock bands around the Chicagoland area, and currently freelances at numerous churches.
